Apparently my last journal was like... in September. That's.... that's a long time LOL sorry guys. But it's obvious I'm still alive and active, just not on the journal front, apparently. This journal will remain short just to get out what I need to, I think, too.

Firstly, if you haven't noticed, I have joined up with a few other fantastic people in creating a group that has grown quite big quite quickly. For those looking for an active, laid back, slice of life RP group, do come join us as :iconcandy-jarr: ~ it's about candy/dessert people living on a mystical island known as Jarr, and we're always active, and always open!

...except for next week!
Why? Because the admins are all meeting up in Florida for the week, from April 10th to April 15th. So for that little vacation we're giving ourselves, the group will be closed. But afterward... afterward, come join our big, sweet family.

Aside from that and the vacation (which will get a proper journal for it later, I promise), I've just been doing my usual stuff with the whole work + school thing. The deli job I work at is giving me a promotion to the cheese kiosk starting when I get back from Florida, which already promises me more hours, and I'll work with fancy pants cheeses all day. ovo/ Though I will still be made to cook for the deli since three of our other cooks are leaving soon... u_u But I look forward to it, and getting off the burrito station I've been constantly on for the last six months LOL-

As for school... well, it's swell! As of next semester, I'll be done with my English minor, save for my seminar class QuQ~~ And I've been offered an internship for my major over the summer, though I have yet to hear back on my application sent in for it! Cross fingers I get it, that's a full time paid internship over the summer with a nice cushion of change in my pocket! (And as y'all know, money is important when you live on your own and stuff.)

I was recently in the Rocky Mountain Writers festival, where I met with many published authors, read out loud, and got many contacts and met someone who knows Stephen King! My immersion into the professional writing world is slow but sure; it felt wonderful to have all these established authors actually like what I read, and demand that I extend my short story into a full novel. /v\ I'll be making a professional FB, Tumblr, and Twitter page soon -- which brings up a question...

Any of my watchers open for graphic commissions?
As in, someone who can make banners for Twitter/Facebook, icons for them, etcetera? Business card designs, too, for meetings like this?
If so, I would love to talk it over with you. ;u; Note or comment! <33

Last but not least, I was tagged by the one and only :icontashaj4de: and debated a long while on this... but finally decided why not. Let's end the journal on a high note, with an interview of Alouette, my SHSL Linguist. eue

Have a pleasant spring, everyone~

The Queen Herself

1. What is your real name, what does it mean, and what is your nickname?
Bonjour. My name is Alouette, and it means Lark, in French. That would make sense, no? Since I am from France. I do not have an established nickname, although I know someone who likes to call me "Alou" like the aloe vera plant...

2. How old are you?
The last I checked, I was seventeen years old, and I will be until late October.

3. What's your favorite food?
I don't tend to pick favorites when it comes to food. If I absolutely had to pick something I would eat at any given point, it would be some sort of pot pie, as those stay warm for great amounts of time.

4. How about your favorite drink?
Again, I do not tend to pick favorites... simple water will do.

5. Who's your lover?

My current love is of the Latin language... I admire the works of Horace, would that count?

6.
Have you kissed anyone?
Fortunately, I have not.

7. Who was your childhood sweetheart?

The Art of War, by Sun-Tzu. :iconureshiiplz:

8.
Who's your favorite author?
Horace, as I said. Currently. :iconureshiiplz:

9. What's your biggest fear?

I'm not at liberty to tell you that. Why don't you tell me your biggest fear, first?

10. Do you have any siblings?
Fortunately, no.

11. Who's your hero?

Seamus Heaney, for his remarkable translation of Beowulf.

12. And your worst enemy?

A person I would rather not talk about.

13. What about your best friend?

I am not sure. This is the first time I have actually associated with people for longer than a week. :iconshrugsplz:

14. What would you do if you met your creator?

:iconureshiiplz:

15. What do you want to be when you grow up?

Potentially an ambassador of my country to the UN but... well, I suppose I'd have to live through Hopes Peak first, hm? Or maybe I'll grow up to be dead?

16. What's your worst nightmare?

You are a sneaky one, Interviewer. As before, I am not at liberty to say. :icongo-on-smile-plz: Tell me yours, first.

17. What's your lifelong dream?

You are getting repetitive, Interviewer.

18. And what would you do if it came true?

Live my life in the success of achieving that dream, of course. What else would I do?

19. Where do you like to relax?

In the library. Books are always a good companion, much like dogs, only less noisy, slobbery, and hairy.

20. What do you do most of the time?

I read and I translate languages for fun. What about you? Asking personal questions? I'm unsure of how fun that can be... but whatever makes you happy. :iconjunesplz:
