OC: Rose

An OC of mine that's been kicking around since the wee years of 2007.

One of my main antagonists that has been the bane of my OCs' existences for ages... but not just their existence, a few other friends in middle school and high school met this lady and pretty much hated her. This was what I wanted, and expected, and for the last ten years, she's been the end all overall unkillable villain who sits on a throne above all my other villains and OCs, watching them run around under her heeled feet, laughing. She is truly someone I'm proud of, and after a lot of debate and war with myself, I'm finally posting the art of her here. ; u ;

Rose is the third OC I'd ever created, after Stefanie and Faith, starting out originally as Faith's main enemy, waaaay way back when I was a fledgling writer. They remained steadfast enemies until 2009, where much more of my cast of characters most know me for came to be, and trivia fact -- Rose manipulated Faith into, in non-rp canon, killing herself.

She is also the main enemy to Edin, the bane of his existence really. A man used to manipulating others and getting extreme levels of power through it met his match through Rose, again in 2009, who found him as a new target once her favorite little blondie had kicked the bucket. She proved the harsher, better manipulator, bringing in her own "chess pieces" to corner her "king" in Edin, and rip him from his pedestal in a fairly inhumane way -- he still has scars and PTSD from it. His sister, Seiren, finally found out what she did to him, and retaliated, letting Edin believe she killed Rose... hell, Seiren herself probably thinks it, has convinced herself that her knife most definitely did puncture a chest, a lung, a heart, something to end this lady and give them peace.

She was wrong. Rose is undeniably one of the hardest OCs of mine to kill, not only because of her wits and power in the spoken word or in body, but because I personally feel that after all these years of having her, it's not quite easy to define a death for someone I have put much care into. So she'll likely wander around for several years more, tormenting the rest of my cast in her own ways, and proving to be the true end all for everyone. That lengthy history pushed aside, here's some other trivia about her:

Her name upon initial creation was Dark Rose and once it was Rosette. She'll still go by Rosette to this day.
She was the first albino OC I ever created, without realizing that was the aesthetic I was going for. She's changed a bit since then, but the initial design imprints should still be there.
Her wings fold into a heart shape, but can also grow large enough to carry her in flight.
The tip of her tail is sharp as a blade, not just for show.
Can summon and create large shadow roses and thorns around her for offense or defense, these cannot be burned away, but they do not stick around her either. She also favors setting rosethorn traps for some enemies if she's feeling particularly nasty.
She is indeed a succubus demon. Taking pride in her body, she has no qualms with showing it off or using it to gain ground and more power. Always, always more power.
Her major form of magic is arcane dark magic, a magic attributed to all of my demons. Her specialty is bewitching via words and the like, making her the master manipulator out of all of my OCs. If her bewitching doesn't work on you, rest assured, it'll work on others in order to break you to her will -- this is what happened to Edin, after all.
The sword she owns is made of a type of black steel, engraved with inverted runes to spell her name, giving strong accent to her dark magic and her overall magical capabilities. The black steel sword is similar to a reaper's blade as well -- one cut, and it'll seal a soul away.
In spite of having all of this power, she is a lower level demon in my hierarchy. Falling particularly into the second circle of hell, Lust, she bends to the will of the Gatekeeper demon of the second and third levels, a lady by the name of Sìria, the soul trapped within Seiren's body. Rose's vast array of magic awoke Sìria from sleep when Seiren confronted her, and was immediately subdued, albeit not killed. The interaction between the two remains unknown to this day, but it's a comfort to know at least there is one person out there who can handle her.
Make that two -- the Queen of Limbo, Él, has full control over all of my demons. However, she is a very subdued lady who would rather not interfere in the goings on of her peons unless outside forces (IE, other rpers) meddle in the affairs of her natural order. It is unlikely she will ever stop Rose's exploration and slow spread of power unless it comes to her doorstep directly.


Perhaps one day I'll work on the various meddlesome things she's done, put it into a timeline, and share it with the world.
For now, we just get this.
